Nitesh Tiwari Prioritizes Crew Safety, Shifts Kashmir Shoot to Sikkim - Manoranjan Metro

In the wake of a terrorist attack in Kashmir, director Nitesh Tiwari has made the difficult call to cancel plans for shooting his upcoming music video in the region, instead opting for a safer location in Sikkim and Darjeeling.

Speaking about the decision, Tiwari said that although Kashmir was his first choice for the scenic shoot, his team’s safety was non-negotiable. “Some crew members were getting calls from worried families. We all wanted to make it work in Kashmir, but no project is worth risking lives,” he said.

Tiwari’s move highlights a growing awareness in the industry about prioritizing crew well-being over production logistics or aesthetic goals. The director is no stranger to Kashmir, having shot several music videos there, including 2023’s Dil Farebi.

While the change in location may alter the visual tone of the video, Tiwari assured fans that the heart of the project remains the same. “We’ll still make something beautiful—just in a different place.”
